The 16^th Annual Workshop of the European Reference Laboratory for Bee Health and the Network of National Reference Laboratories will be held in Bologna on the 11^th September 2026

We are delighted to announce that the 16^th annual workshop will take place in Bologna, Italy, on Friday 11^th September 2026, right after EurBee conference.

Analytical activities and the current honeybee health status will be described by two NRLs. Research activities on Tropilaelaps spp. mites and American foulbrood will be presented. Two of the NRLs will focus on the guidelines produced by the EURL for the surveillance and early detection of Tropilaelaps mites. The EURL will also release one video recently completed to describe EURL activities. This EURL communication initiative complements the technical work carried out with NRLs across the EU, particularly on Tropilaelaps threat to European beekeeping.

This meeting is part of the EURL for Bee Health mandate, and therefore dedicated to NRLs only.
